Games: Borussia Dortmund's striker Marco Reus 27 will feature on the cover of EA Sports' FIFA 17 video game after it was announced that he beat three other super stars including Manchester United’s Anthony Martial, Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez in a fan vote.

The German international received the highest of over 3.1 million votes cast on EA's website.
In a statement, Reus said;

"I'm honoured to join a very distinguished group of footballers to appear on the cover of FIFA,"
"Most of all I am humbled that the fans have chosen me, and I will strive to make them proud with my performance on the pitch."

In a statement by EA SPORTS FIFA Senior Producer Nick Channon, he said;
“It is incredible to see how fans get behind their favourite player – Marco plays for a great club, is really fun to watch, and he is very popular in FIFA Ultimate Team, so it makes a lot of sense that the fans picked him,”
 “Reus joins an elite group of international football superstars who have appeared on the cover of FIFA over the years” he added.
The FIFA 17 is slated to be released on September 27 in North America and September 29 worldwide on PC, Xbox and PlayStation.
