Air strikes kill 23 at Syria holiday spot

Syria: At least 23 people have been killed by air strikes at a holiday resort in northwestern Syria on Friday, just few hours before the expiration of the 72 hour cease fire announced by the Syrian army on Wednesday said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
The attack was targeted at a riverside area in Darkush, near the Turkish border, in western Idlib province.
According to witnesses and the Observatory, victims of the attack and the injured came from neighboring towns around the province to celebrate the Muslim Eid holiday weekend.

The death which included 10 women and two children, is likely to increase due to the number of severely wounded people, said the Observatory.

Ahmad Yaziji, a civil defence chief in the near by town of Jisr al-Shughour, said;
"It was a terrifying sight because most of the people had fallen into the river next to the spring. There were children, women, men,"
The civil defence are first responders in opposition-held territory of Syria, since  the beginning of the six year civil war.
"The area which was targeted had no military positions in it at all and never had done," Yaziji said.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack  in Idlib.
