7 killed in north of Baghdad car bombing

Iraq: A suicide bomber has killed at least 7 people and wounded 11 others  after detonating his explosives inside a car near a check point north of Baghdad on Wednesday, said security and medical sources said.

No group has claim immediate responsibility for the blast but it is assumed the Islamic State who recently boasted of killing 5,200 people in the last one month may be behind the attack.


ISIS has been carrying out increasing suicide bombings which the US and Iraqi officials have described as proof that the offensive setbacks are weakening the jihadists.

But critics claim a global increase in suicide attacks credited to the group indicates it may just be adapting and would survive.
