Severe floods kills 22 people in south China

China: At least 22 people has been killed and about 20 others missing in serious floods in southern China since Saturday, with the rains expected to continue for the next three days.
In a statement by the ministry of civil affairs on its website, it said;
more than 200,000 people from eight southern provinces and regions, including Hubei, Sichuan, Guizhou, Jiangxi, Yunnan, Zhejiang and Anhui, in China had been forced out of their homes.
In a report by China official Xinhua news agency, it said;
 the storms had pushed water levels in rivers to dangerous levels, leading to crop damage and the collapse of 10,500 houses. 
The statement also added that the estimated economic losses were 7.34 billion yuan ($A1.48 billion).
On Friday, Xinha said 14 people were killed during three days of heavy rain last week.
