Pistorius's family receive threat message that Oscar Pistorius will be 'gang raped' in prison

South Africa: The family of Oscar Pistorius have reported to the police that a man threatened to assault Pistorius if he were sent back to prison, after the man failed in an attempt to extort money from the family for an allege evidence he claimed would compromise testimony for the prosecution at Pistorius' sentencing hearing last week.

 According to the family, in the message sent by an unnamed man through WhatsApp to Pistorius cousin last week, he threatened to arrange for Pistorius to be ‘gang raped’ in prison and also sent several death threats which prompted the family to increase security.


Pistorius who has been found guilty of murdering girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp is awaiting sentence on July 6th.
