Niger Delta Avengers deny ceasefire agreement with the Federal Government of Nigeria

 

Nigeria: The Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) militants from the Niger Delta region of Nigeria through its Twitter handle on Monday denied ever agreeing to a 30 day cease fire truce with the federal government of Nigeria as claimed by the media, after reports broke out on Monday morning, that the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Niger Delta Avengers militants which has claimed responsibility for a series of attacks on oil and gas installations in the region in recent months have agreed to a 30 day ceasefire to afford President Muhammadu Buhari time to come up with a comprehensive plan for the oil rich region.
