Niger Delta Avengers blows up NNPC Pipeline In Akwa Ibom

Nigeria: The Niger Delta Avengers through its Twitter handle on Thursday morning, announced that it has blown up a Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) pipeline in Oruk Anam Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom State.

The militant group, in its Tweet said,

 “At 4:00am @NDAvengers blow up NNPC Pipeline in Oruk Anam Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom.”

The group had on Monday listed a number of conditions it expects from the Federal Government of Nigeria before it would engage her in any form of dialogue, in a U-turn to its former refusal of an invitation to dialogue with the Nigerian government.

The group has earlier issued a warning to the government, oil companies and their services firms not to carry out any repairs works and suspend the buying of crude oil from the Niger Delta region pending the creation of “the right atmosphere that will engender genuine dialogue”.
