Man grabs woman and shoves a bag of faeces down her pants

US: Police said a woman was attacked by a man on the Upper East Side, Manhattan and bizarrely shoved a bag of faeces down her shorts. See video after the cut
A surveillance camera shows the 27 year old victim on her cellphone when the attacker approached her from behind.

The attacker who was wearing gloves, grabbed the unsuspecting woman’s shorts at the waist and shoved the bag of faeces down her shorts from her behind.
After a short scuffle, the man pulled off his latex gloves and hurled them into the street as he fled.
It was not clear whether the content of the bag was human waste or animal faeces.

 NYPD detectives are hunting for the man.
