Joseph Yobo set to play in the Nigerian premier league
Nigeria: Former
Super Eagles of Nigeria captain, Joseph Yobo, who announced his
retirement from football last month, is set to play in the Nigeria
Professional Football league for the remaining 12 league matches of the
season as League Ambassador, after reaching an agreement with League
Management Company (LMC) .
In a series of tweets by the LMC on Tuesday, it announced that;
Sani Kaita benefited from NPFL Elite Players Scheme two seasons ago when the scheme was
introduced by the LMC in 2014 season to inject retiring Nigerian internationals who have played abroad as part of efforts to revive greater following for the domestic league.
The NPFL will also partly fund the player's wages.

In a series of tweets by the LMC on Tuesday, it announced that;
''Joseph Yobo is set to come out of retirement to play in the Nigeria Professional Football League on a short-term contract''
''Yobo had been signed on as League Ambassador and would soon be assigned to one of the four clubs already bidding for his services''.

''Joseph Yobo will see out his playing career in the Nigerian Professional Football League'',Four teams were listed by the LLMC as his possible destination; Akwa Utd, FC Ifeanyiubah, Kano Pillars and Wikki Tourists.
