ISIS launched new mobile app, targeting children

Nigeria: The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria ISIS has developed a new mobile application for the purpose of recruiting and indoctrinating children into its fold towards advancing its Jihad course.In a statement by the Nigerian Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, in Abuja on Thursday, he said; the mobile application, is to be used by ISIS to teach children the Arabic alphabets with the aid of guns, military tanks and cannons.

 “The application utilizes colorful illustrations that attract and engage the attention of young children.”

He advised members of the public and parents in particular to be observant and to prevent their children and wards from being brainwashed.
The Federal Government of Nigeria, had in 2014 issued a security alert that the ISIS had engaged the services of a South African to recruit fighters for it from West Africa.

Recall that the terrorist group, Boko Haram, operating in North east Nigeria, Niger, Chad and other parts of Cameroon, had in 2015 pledged allegiance to ISIS which also welcomed it to its fold.
