Football Paper Round: Real Madrid want N'Golo Kante but not David de Gea
Real Madrid move for N'Golo Kante
Arsenal and Spurs compete for Quincy Promes
Real Madrid will not sign David de Gea
Real Madrid have been so impressed with N'Golo Kante that they
are ready to bring the France international to the Bernabeu next season,
according to AS. Kante's industry in Leicester City's
astonishing
Premier League title win caught the eye of Zinedine Zidane and
Florentino Perez, but his performances at Euro 2016 have made up Madrid's mind. Any move for the midfielder would not impact on a deal for Paul Pogba from Juventus.
Arsenal have joined neighbours Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Spartak Moscow
winger Quincy Promes - reports the Express. The 24-year-old has scored
31 goals for Spartak and his displays have forced him into the
Netherlands squad. But Spartak have been unable to tie the Dutchman down
to a new contract and Arsenal feel that the player's pace and goal
threat would strengthen their squad. Arsene Wenger has confirmed that he
will sign at least one or two more players, with midfielders the likely
priority.
Real Madrid have decided not to bid again for Manchester United
goalkeeper De Gea, according to the Express. Real almost signed the
Spanish stopper last summer, but failed to complete the deal on the
final day of the transfer window. And president Florentino Perez has
confirmed that the club will not bid again for the Spain No. 1. Manager
Zinedine Zidane has told his board that he's happy with current
goalkeeper Keylor Navas, ending De Gea's Madrid deam.
