Football Paper Round: Arsenal approach Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette
Wenger wants Lacazette at Arsenal
Arsene Wenger will meet with representatives of striker
Alexandre Lacazette, according to the Mirror. Arsenal are keen to bring
in another forward and Lacazette is top of their target list after the
club were snubbed by Leicester and England's Jamie Vardy last week. The Frenchman is not at the
Euros after failing to make Didier Deschamps' final 23-man squad, but that has left him free to hold negotiations over a move away from Lyon. West Ham and Atletico Madrid are also interested.
Liverpool target De Sciglio to replace Moreno
Jurgen Klopp is keen to replace Alberto Moreno as Liverpool's first-choice left-back, with AC Milan's Mattia De Sciglio
the primary target - reports the Express. The 23-year-old is currently
with the Italy squad at the European Championships, but De Sciglio's
performances for club and country have convinced Klopp that he is the
man to solve the Anfield club's problems in the position. De Sciglio is
under contract at Milan for another two years, but a number of injury
problems may persuade the Italian club to sell up.
Bayern want Eric 'Becks' Dier
Eric Dier's performances for England and Tottenham Hotspur
have attracted the attention of Bayern Munich - reports The Sun. The
Spurs former centre-back has excelled since moving into a holding
midfield role and has been the standout performer for the Three Lions so
far at Euro 2016. And Bayern want Dier, who has earned the nickname
'Becks' after his free-kick strike against Russia, to anchor their title
challenge in the Bundesliga next season.
