Equatorial Guinea’s President Teodoro Obiang’ Nguema appoints his first son Teodoro Obiang’ Mangue as Vice President

Equatorial Guinea: President of Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Obiang' Nguema has appointed his first son Teodoro 'Teodorin' Obiang' Mangue as the country’s vice-president. Before his promotion, Teodorin has been serving as second vice-president, a position that has been scraped from the new government structure.

According to reports, on Tuesday, the president's first son will also be in charge of Defence and National Security ministry.

Former Prime Minister Vicente Ehate Tomí will now serve as deputy president of the State Council.

President Teodoro Obiang' Nguema is Africa's longest ever serving leader and has head the Spanish speaking country since 1979 when he ousted his uncle in a military coup.
