Egypt: The
cockpit voice recorder (black-box) from EgyptAir Flight 804 which
crashed in the Mediterranean sea last month killing all 66 people on
board has been recovered by search teams.
In a statement by the
Egyptian committee, it said;
the black box, one of the two on
board the plane has been wrecked but that the “memory unit which is the most
important in the recorder.” was safely pulled by the vessel searching for the wreckage.
The
committee added that the recorder was recovered in “several stages,”
and is
currently being conveyed from the vessel, to Alexandria Egypt for onward
handing over to the members of the committee for analysis.
Recall that a French vessel the John Lethbridge, had on Wednesday located the wreckage.
