Woman rescues her 5 year old son from the jaw of a lion in Colorado

US: A Colorado woman has been described as a hero after she rescued her 5 year old son from the jaws of a mountain lion near Aspen on Friday.

In a report by Pitkin County Sheriff's Deputy, Michael Buglione, he said;
The woman's son was playing outside with older brother in their Pitkin County, Aspen when the lion attacked her son. She heard her sons screaming, she ran outside and found the cat on top of her son, she quickly ran towards the lion and saw her son's entire head in its mouth, she struggled with the lion until she was able to set the boy free from its paws.


Reports says the boy is in fair condition and was receiving treatment for injuries to the head and neck at a Children's Hospital in Denver. The mother had minor injuries and was treated for bites and bruises..
After the attack, US wildlife officials found and killed the lion.
