British MP Jo Cox shot and stabbed in Leeds finally dies

UK: British Labour MP Jo Cox has died. She was shot and stabbed in broad daylight attack by a man in West Yorkshire in Leeds, England on Thursday.
Cox who was initially airlifted on drip to the hospital where she was battling for her life has been confirmed dead by doctors less than an hour after she was shoot three times and stabbed three times.

Police say they have arrested a 52 year old man in connection with the murder believing it is a "lone incident".
Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn said;
 "the whole of the Labour Party and Labour family - and indeed the whole country - will be in shock at the horrific murder of Jo Cox today."
Campaign activities of 'Vote Leave' and 'Britain Stronger in Europe' were suspended ahead of votes next week over whether Britain should remain a part of the EU.

British Prime Minister David Cameron cancelled a planned speech in Gibraltar after "the terrible attack." He tweeted;
"Our thoughts and prayers are with Jo and her family,"
Cox had been campaigning for Britain to remain in the EU. But its not been confirmed yet if the attack was linked to the EU debate.

The mother of two and wife was elected to the House of Commons in May 2015 and has been one of the most outspoken MPs on the Syrian civil war.
