Body of 2 year old boy found after alligator attack

US: Florida Police said it has recovered the body of a two year old boy who was pulled into the lagoon by an alligator on Tuesday night, in front of his family during his family vacation at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
During a press conference by Orange County Sheriff Jerry Deming, he confirmed that the boy's body had been recovered and identified.
"At about 3.30 today we recovered the remains of the two-year-old from the water and that body has now been turned over to the Orange county medical examiners office for an autopsy."
The boy was dragged into the lagoon as he played at the edge of the water, despite his parents' effort to save him from the alligator believed to be between 1.2 and 2 metres long.
Nick Wiley, head of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said wildlife officials had earlier caught and killed five alligators from the lagoon to investigate them for signs of the boy but found no evidence they were involved.
The resort closed its beaches and recreational marinas on Wednesday as search were on going at the man made lake.
Dozens of sheriff's deputies and wildlife officials were involved in the search on Wednesday, numbering about 60, using sonar technology, helicopters and a team of divers.
