Algeria: Access to Facebook, Twitter and
other social media sites have been temporarily banned by Algerian authorities in a bid to curb cheating during exams.
The decision was made in an attempt to stop cheats from posting high school exam papers online, reported state media on Sunday.
This is coming just when tens of thousands of high school students were made to retake part of their exams after details of exam were shared on social media
According to an official source,
Recall that police earlier this month, arrested dozens of people in an attempt to find out how parts of the school exams had made it to social media.

"The cut in social media is directly related to the partial baccalaureate exams that are taking place on Sunday,"
"This is to protect students from the publication of false papers for these exams."On Sunday, access to the internet through the 3G mobile network also temporarily disrupted.
