Son shares photos of his mum and dad on life support holding hands and saying goodbye

A heartbreaking photo of a married couple saying goodbye to each other while both are hooked up on life support machines has been shared online by their son Chris Minnini 21.
The incredible moment was captured by Chris’s brother at Kingston General Hospital in Ontario, Canada, only hours before their 58 year old father Jim, passed away last weekend from lung cancer.

Chris, uploaded the photo to social media site Reddit on Thursday last week as a way to commemorate the love shared by his parents,even on their sick bed after 23 years of marriage.

His mum, Cindy is now home and recovering after having a heart attack she suffered the day after her husband was admitted to hospital in Ontario, Canada.

Speaking to the Metro, Mr Minnini said: “I know that if my dad wanted to be remembered at all, it would’ve been for loving my mum.”
He said that the picture was taken in the “last couple of hours” of his dad’s life who was “pretty adamant that he wanted to be with my mum.”
He continued: “My mum was sedated in that picture, which is why we had to wait to do the service for my dad until yesterday because she never got to properly say goodbye.
“The first question she asked when she woke up was ‘where’s dad?’ – she knew instantly.”


He added: “I will never ever regret posting the photo. I understand people might be thinking I’m trying to get internet points but it was more about sharing a beautiful moment.

“My friends said to me that you see your parents but we see true love, so even if nobody saw it, it wouldn’t have mattered to me.”
