Ten-man Manchester United defeated Crystal Palace 2-1 in extra time to lift the FA Cup at Wembley on Saturday.
Second half substitute Jesse Lingard's extra time volley gave Manchester United a 2-1 victory over Palace to secured Louis van Gaal his first silverware with the Old Trafford club in what has been a rocky seasons with the Premier League giants.

Crystal Palace opened the scoring with a wonder-volley from substitute Jason Puncheon with 12 minutes left.
But Juan Mata leveled for United within three minutes, sending the match to extra time.
Chris Smalling was sent off for a second bookable offense at the end of the first period.

Manchester United who finished fifth in the Premier League, has now won its 12th FA Cup title to tie Arsenal for the most ever.

The game marked a rematch of the 1990 final, also won by Manchester United 1-0 in a replay following a 3-3 draw in the first go-around. The result also leaves Crystal Palace in search of its first major trophy.
