Chelsea are set to be pipped to the signing of Miralem Pjanic by Juventus, reports The Express. Roma midfielder Pjanic has impressed as a deep-lying central playmaker this season, while also showing a
remarkable ability from set-pieces, and new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is reportedly very keen to bring the Bosnia international to Stamford Bridge. However, Juventus have jumped ahead of Chelsea in the race to seal the talented midfielder’s signature.

Chelsea drop out of Stones chase
Manchester United are in the driving seat to seal the signature of John Stones in the summer, according to The Metro. Chelsea have been long-term admirers of the talented Everton centre-back and were reportedly ready to pay up to £40 million for the England international. However, the Toffees are holding out for more, with Chelsea put off by the increasing transfer fee for the youngster. United are now the favourites to sign Stones, although Manchester City and Barcelona are also interested.

Manchester United have a week to tempt Mats Hummels to Old Trafford, says The Express. Germany international Hummels has long been a transfer target for the Red Devils and has looked ready to leave Borussia Dortmund for much of the past year. United are desperate to strengthen their back-line and believe that Hummels is the perfect player for their style of play, but the centre-back is reportedly set on joining Bayern Munich in the summer.
 
Mahrez to turn down Arsenal move
Riyad Mahrez will turn down Arsenal to stay at Leicester City for another season, reports The Metro. The PFA Player of the Year has been one of the stars of Leicester’s title-winning season and has attracted plenty of attention across the continent, with Arsenal tipped to hold the biggest interest in the Algerian. However, Mahrez told reporters that he is very happy” at Leicester and is not considering leaving this summer.
