Barcelona beat Sevilla to win the Copa del Rey

La Liga champions and defending Copa del Rey champions Barcelona beat Sevilla 2-0 on Sunday after extra time in the Copa del rey final to become the first team to retain the trophy since 1998 final.

Barca were also the last team to win back-to-back Copa del Reys, which they did under Bobby Robson and Louis van Gaal's guidance.

Both sides were at the receiving end of sending off as Javier Mascherano was dismiss during the first 45 minutes, and Sevilla's Ever Banega's was red carded ahead of extra time.

Barca opened the scoring when Lionel Messi's terrific vision led to Jordi Alba's first goal of the season in the 97th minute and the Argentine then teed up Neymar for a second after Sevilla's Daniel Carrico had also been sent off for two cautions. Barca held till the end to seal the domestic double.
